Adopt a youth mentoring programme: This programme seeks to deal with peculiar challenges faced by youths from single-parent backgrounds.
Peer Mentoring: We believe youths are more willing to relate to their peers. We therefore encourage youths who have been trained (and are still being trained) and who have demonstrated maturity to take on the responsibility of encouraging and mentoring their peers who have come through the system.
Harmony in homes: Bringing families together through special meetings between parents and youths.
Academic support for youths: We have teachers who assist some youths who struggle in their GCSE Maths, English and French. They organise extra teaching sessions which are funded by our Ministry. Also, closer to the examinations, we organise subsidised revision classes for the students in the major subjects.
Talent Activities: Provision of various outlets for youths to demonstrate and develop their gifts and talents. So within the G-squad, we have the drama team, music team, and the football team.
Staging Events and Participating in Events: The 7.7.7 Talent Nite was staged at the Hartley Community Centre in East Ham to target knife culture through songs and drama. We also participate in the Newham Youth parliament and Soul in the City.
